I enjoy giving presentations, workshops, and consulting on topics associated with women’s transitions, pregnancy, and grief and loss. I am also pleased to offer workshops to the general public for education and healing that are nourished by our imagination and our willingness to turn inwards to listen. By expressing ourselves in different ways we are naturally moved into the fullness of our life and living from a place of wholeness. The following are examples of past presentations, lectures and workshops.

In Jung’s archetypal theory, the Nature archetype presents in the psyche on two poles: an instinctual pole and a spiritual pole. The instinctual pole drives our human needs for sexuality, food and safety. The spiritual pole allows for a deeper connection to nature, creating numinous experiences that connect us to the Self. While working on environmental issues over the past 25 years, we have witnessed a full range of human experiences concerning nature. The psyche’s capacity to connect with environmental damage is suppressed by powerful protective influences, especially where our own shadow, and personal harmful effects on nature are concerned. This workshop will involve creating images and engaging with the unconscious in order to find a voice, image, or personal story that can inspire small but essential sparks of transformation that we may carry forward into our lives.

Boulder Friends of Jung Concept Series: The Image and Dream Interpretation
Dreams awaken us to the beauty, mystery and terror of being alive. Analytical psychology offers a structural map of the psyche where our dreams “are the royal road to the unconscious.” In this class, we will explore the various ways in which images within dreams invite us to know ourselves more fully and engage with unnamed inner experiences while, at the same time, they encourage a more meaningful connection tot he world in which we live.
Boulder Friends of Jung Concept Series: The Ego-Self Axis
The goal in the first half of life is to develop an ego that is strong; in the second half of life we are drawn to what Jung understood as the transpersonal nature of the psyche or the Self. Through lecture, images, and discussion we will explore the dynamic relationship of the ego/Self axis.
Boulder Friends of Jung Concept Series: Lady Ragnell–Fair by Day or Fair by Night?
The story of Lady Ragnell and her marriage to Gawain is an example of what occurs when the masculine relates to the dual nature of the feminine. This archetypal pattern exists in various forms throughout time and illustrates the internal feminine nature within both men and women. From the provided tale that will be read prior to our meeting, we will explore the psychological journey that leads to the breaking of the enchantment and the liberation of the feminine. Art materials will be used to explore and expand our internal relationship to the dual feminine that exists within us.
